This post gives you the best tips to keep your place clean and nice.
If you want your room or house to be as clean as possible, this post is definitely for you.
Having a clean place is important because a place where you spend your time and especially rest affects your mood and much more.
According to scientists, staying in a dirty place can have negative effects on your health. Dirty living conditions can lead to the growth of microorganisms and bacteria that can cause infections and illnesses. In addition, exposure to dust, mold, and other allergens can trigger allergies and respiratory problems. Maintaining a clean living environment is important for preventing the spread of germs and maintaining good health.
These six things that you can and should add to your place to keep it clean don’t have to be done daily; you can simply do one or two of them daily to get results.
Let’s dive in!
By following these simple tips, you can maintain a clean and peaceful bedroom environment.
1. Make your bed every morning.
Making your bed in the morning is not as simple as it sounds because I spent years waking up in the morning and not fixing my bed. But once I figured out that if my bed is made, then my room looks 75% cleaner, that was all I needed to make my bed as soon as I’m done with my morning routine.
Having the right sheets or duvet for your bed is a must.
This one is my personal favorite.
A nice sheet or duvet can take your bed from 0 to 100.
2. Put away clothes and accessories at the end of each day.
If you want your room to look clean and nice 24/7, then the clothes that are on the floor and bed must be put away. Having a specific place or things to keep clean and dirty will be your best friend once you give it a try, if you haven’t.
Nothing can elevate a room more than removing all clothes from your bed, couch, and floor.
3. Dust and vacuum regularly.
Dusting and vacuuming is not something that you need to do every day, but it will benefit your health every single day. You can create a schedule where you dust and vacuum weekly or every couple of days if you live somewhere where there’s a lot of dust.
Dusting and vacuuming are great ways to keep the air around you clean, and having an air purifier is even better. I use the below
4. Keep a hamper for dirty laundry.
Having a hamper for dirty laundry will be the only reason you do not have clothes all over your floor. I personally love having a hamper by the bathroom or in my bedroom; it makes cleaning quick and easy. Instead of leaving your clothes on the floor and chair, have something to put them in, and by doing that, you will have the bonus of knowing where your clothes are at all times.
I have two of those because they really help me not leave my clothes on the floor.
5. Use storage containers to keep small items organized.
Try your best to have a place for the small items; that way, your place will look much cleaner and better. Those small items can be socks, toys, earrings, and many more.
I always used to have to keep buying new necklaces and earrings because I could never seem to know where to find my old ones. And some of those accessories were my favorites. If you don’t wish to be like I was or want to keep your small items for a long period of time, then having things organized is just what you need.
I love how useful and beautiful this one is for my earrings and necklace.
6. Declutter regularly and donate or sell items that you no longer need.
Once you start decluttering, you will absolutely love it. The thought of decluttering may not be the best because of the process of having to go through so many things. Choosing what is worth keeping and what is not can be hard, both emotionally and physically, but after it’s done, you will absolutely love the peace and space that it will give you.
One of the best things about decluttering is that you can bless someone or make some extra money in the process. If you decide to donate or sell, then that makes the decluttering process worth it.
